Identifyingthe weakness (vulnerability) before the injury is critical to success. If you are an athlete or just trying to get back into shape (starting anew workout plan), injuries (big or small) hold you back fromprogressing. Injuries occur the majority of time at the beginning ofthe season, or when the athlete is trying to progress. What happenswhen you have an injury? First you must heal from the injury (a fewweeks) then you must rehab the injury (another few weeks) and thenfinally you are ready to train again. This process sometimes takes 8-12or more weeks before you are even back to the way you were before theinjury thus delaying sometimes devastating your physical goals. We focus on identifying that weakness making you less "vulnerable" to injury allowing you progress that much faster.

Dr. Mike Asks some important questions of interest to Austin residents - Chiropractor Austin Dr. Mike Asks...

Why are frequent visits advised when starting chiropractic care?
Consistent visits at the beginning of your chiropractic care help create the momentum necessary to correct and retrain unhealthy spinal patterns. Later, Austin patients find that continued care on a less frequent visit schedule can help preserve their progress and avoid a relapse.
Is a muscle spasm a cause or an effect?
With the knee-jerk use of muscle relaxers, you'd think it was a cause. But it's an effect. Chiropractors know that bones don't move unless muscles move them. And muscles don't contract unless commanded by the nervous system. That's why your nervous system is the focus of our Austin chiropractic practice.
